Crosswater Hall at Nocatee Wedding Photography

Crosswater Hall at Nocatee is a beautiful wedding venue in Ponte Vedra, Florida, with elegant architecture, gorgeous outdoor spaces, and one of the prettiest reception halls in the area. I especially love the high ceilings and chandeliers inside. It’s a stunning space for a wedding reception, and the building itself provides a beautiful backdrop for photographs.

One thing I appreciate about Crosswater Hall is the variety of photo locations available in a relatively compact space. There’s a garden ceremony area, a pond, a staircase, and a unique tunnel area that all offer something different. Even though the venue is near some busy roads, the tall walls surrounding much of the outdoor space help it feel surprisingly private and secluded.

My Favorite Wedding Photo Locations at Crosswater Hall

The Pond at Sunset

The pond is probably my favorite location for wedding portraits at Crosswater Hall. It’s a beautiful setting throughout the day, but it can be especially pretty around sunset when the light is softer and warmer. I always recommend setting aside a few minutes during the reception to step outside for portraits here. It’s an easy way to get some beautiful photographs without spending much time away from your guests.

The Garden and Outdoor Spaces

The garden is another great spot for wedding photography, with pretty greenery and a lovely setting for outdoor ceremonies. It’s also a nice option for couple’s portraits and wedding party pictures.

I particularly like that the different outdoor locations are close together. We can move between backgrounds fairly quickly, which gives couples a good variety of photographs without taking up too much of their wedding day.

The Staircase and Tunnel

Two of the more distinctive photography locations at Crosswater Hall are the staircase at the front of the building and the area near the tunnel. Both provide beautiful architectural backdrops and are great options for a first look.

If you’re planning to see each other before the ceremony, either location can create a memorable setting for that moment. They’re also nice alternatives to the more traditional garden portraits.

What to Know About Weddings at Crosswater Hall

One thing to keep in mind is that the outdoor ceremony area receives quite a bit of direct sunlight. During Florida’s warmer months, I’d recommend thinking about ways to keep guests comfortable, whether that’s providing fans, shade where possible, or plenty of water.

Otherwise, Crosswater Hall is a very convenient venue from a photography standpoint. The ceremony space, reception hall, and portrait locations are all close together, so there’s no need to build a lot of extra travel time into your schedule.

And of course, the reception hall itself is a highlight. Between the high ceilings, chandeliers, and beautiful interior design, it’s a wonderful setting for everything from your first dance to the rest of your celebration.

Tips for Planning Your Crosswater Hall Wedding

My biggest photography recommendation is to make time for sunset portraits by the pond. Even if we’ve already taken plenty of photographs earlier in the day, the light around sunset can give us something completely different.

I’d also consider doing a first look if you’d like to complete some portraits before the ceremony. The staircase and tunnel offer great locations for it, and having everything close together makes the process easy to fit into your timeline.

Beyond that, one of the best things about Crosswater Hall is how straightforward the layout is. You can enjoy a beautiful ceremony, take portraits in several different settings, and celebrate in an elegant reception space without ever having to go far.
